SOME  LESSONS  OF  LIFE  LEARNED


               1.     Moderation in everything is a wise rule to follow.

               2.     Let go past resentments and regrets.

               3.     Have self-respect as well as respect others.

               4.     Do not worry about what other people think or say about you.

               5.     Avoid entering into an argument with anybody.

               6.     There are some things  that cannot be changed, accept them.

               7.     How you say something is as important as what you say. Try to say 

                       what you have to say calmly, without vehemence.

               8.     Daily physical exercise is good for mind as well as body. Walking is  

                       a very good form of exercise.

               9.     Try to have daily at least 7 hours of sleep.

              10.    Do not overeat, and eat slowly to relish your food.

              11.    Enduring pain just for the sake of endurance is not a virtue. Treat

                       it, specially if it is severe.

              12.    Occupy yourself in activities which you are good at and enjoy.

              13.    At short intervals, plan some pleasurable activity--something to look 

                       forward to.

              14.    Some physical as well as mental ailments can be treated successfully

                       with medical  treatment. Do not be puritan about using medicines.  

              15.    Now and then, do something to help others. You will feel happy.

              16,    Happiness comes less from buying material things, more from exploring 

                       new experiences.
